Fun fact: Our Director Danicah Waldo is a gymnastics fanatic and started following Kynlee on Instagram a few weeks before her agent submitted her. She didn’t even know she was an actress! Once she auditioned, she knew she was perfect for the role. Check out @kynlee_the_great on Instagram to see her in action!

This film explores generational relationships within a wealthy family. How do we reconcile family secrets, protect our little ones, and break these patterns of burying our traumas deep in the laundry basket? How do we parent an intuitive child, who still deserves to be protected from the big truths of the world?
In 2024, in this time of the mental health revolution, many of us are exploring our childhoods and how they shaped us. We blame our parents. We hold onto the things that happened to us when we had no control. And now parents are feeling more pressure than ever to get it right.
But none of us will come out unscathed. That is the inherent condition of being human.

We secured an incredible donated location on July 10th, but had to begin principal photography by August 29th to use it. This means we had only six weeks to raise $16,500, crew up, cast the film, and complete pre-production!

When Writer/Director Danicah Waldo was teaching her high school film class at Applause New York, she was trying to inspire the students that they could come up with a great film idea from anything; a prop, a silly line of dialogue. Then-student (now Executive Producer) shouted out, “Sally, Get the Potatoes!” The class giggled, but Danicah knew there was something there.

This film was shot entirely on-location in the heart of New York City in August of 2023. A lot of the crew generously volunteered their time and a lot of the gear was loaned so we could meet our budgets!
