Samantha “Sammie” Peña was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas and is a proud chicana. She is a recent alumni of Pace University’s Film and Screen Studies Dept. Her life has always incorporated the arts; started as a dancer, became a stage manager and is usually working on an art project of her own.  Seeing that she has a special place in her heart for the arts, she aspires to have her own production company that will allow her to share her love for arts with all audiences. She hopes to tell stories like her own and of other BIPOC with her films as well.

She has previously worked as an intern at 9 Story Media, a children’s animation company, and as a BTS Videographer and Photographer with Pace University’s Center for Student Engagement. She had an amazing time working alongside the cast and crew of Sally Get the Potatoes and hopes to work alongside them again in future projects.
